Advanced PRP

Within our blood holds the key to radiant, youthful skin. PRP stands for Platelet Rich Plasma which is blood plasma containing a high concentration of platelets. PRP can help regenerate and revitalise damaged skin, reduce fine lines and improve skin texture. Esthetique NY now offers incubated plasma with two amazing settings: Activated collagen/ Biological Filler and Induction of collagen formation.

What is PRP?
For this treatment, a small amount of blood is drawn from the client and placed in a sterile tube, then spun in a centrifuge to separate red and white cells from platelets and plasma (clear fluid). This plasma now has a higher than normal number of platelets, thus making it platelet-rich plasma.

What is advanced PRP?
One level up from PRP is incubated plasma. There are two different settings that can be used depending on the desired results of the patient. The two settings involve either a biological filler or biological skin booster.

Activated Plasma Albumin Gel/ Biological Filler
After the red and white cells have been separated from platelets and plasma the PPP can be extracted and then heated in the incubating machine. Once the Activated Plasma Albumin Gel has cooled it can then be used. Activated Plasma shows similar results to dermal filler and can be used to sculpt the face and treat the lips, cheeks and under eye area. It is also extremely hydrating and offers many benefits to the skin.

Induction of Collagen Formation/ Biological Skin Booster
Another option for the incubated plasma is the induction of collagen formation. for this process the PRP and CD34 is extracted and placed into the incubating machine. After letting it cool for 10 minutes it is ready to be used. Induction of collagen formation has a similar effect to skin booster as it is extremely hydrating and reduced the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It is rejuvenating as it promotes the production of collagen.
